A 20-year-old woman was allegedly killed by her in-laws in Bihar over a dowry demand. She was reportedly strangled and later hanged after her family failed to promptly provide a gold chain promised during her brother’s wedding. Her family said, "[We] sought two months to arrange the chain....We gave them whatever we could. But they kept demanding...chain and a vehicle."
