US billionaires Nancy and Rich Kinder announced their plans to donate 95% of their total wealth, which equals about ₹88,000 crore, to local causes. Speaking to ABC13, Rich said, "Whatever wealth you accumulate is result of a lot of other people helping you." The couple was among the first 20 people to sign Bill and Melinda Gates' The Giving Pledge.
