Bitcoin, world's largest cryptocurrency, hit an all-time high of $124,457.12 on Thursday propelled by strong demand from institutional investors amid the likelihood of a US Federal Reserve rate cut next month. Bitcoin had previously reached an all-time high of $123,205.12 on July 14. Bitcoin's market capitalisation is now around $2.5 trillion compared with $1.37 trillion at beginning of November.
