Shankar Ghosh, BJP's chief whip, was suspended for the day in the West Bengal Assembly for creating a ruckus during a debate on a resolution over "atrocities" against Bengali migrants. As BJP MLAs shouted slogans questioning Suvendu Adhikari's suspension on September 2, Ghosh joined their protest and was suspended. When he refused to leave after suspension, marshals escorted him out.
