PDP president Mehbooba Mufti accused BJP of forcing people in Jammu and Kashmir to stand up for national anthem at "gunpoint". "I remember my student days we used to stand [during] national anthem…There was no coercion. It's their failure," Mufti said. Reportedly, over a dozen spectators were briefly detained for not standing during national anthem in Srinagar during an event.
