A local BJP leader in Ayodhya, BD Dwivedi, passed away after complaining of chest pain on Saturday, with his family claiming that multiple barricades stopped them from taking him to hospital on time. After being stopped at the Devkali barrier and Ram Path, the family took him to Faizabad district hospital. They alleged two hours had passed by then.
