A BJP MLA and former minister Byrathi Basavaraj, has been accused of murder after a 40-year-old history-sheeter Shivakumar alias Biklu Shivu was killed in Bengaluru on Tuesday. Shivakumar was standing outside his home when five assailants attacked him with sharp weapons. His mother filed a complaint accusing Basavaraj of conspiring with others to eliminate her son over a property dispute.
