BJP Rajya Sabha MP Bhim Singh has raised objections over 'GAY' code for Bihar's Gaya Airport, calling it "socially and culturally offensive and uncomfortable". Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol responded by saying the three-letter airport codes are considered permanent once they're assigned. They're altered in exceptional conditions, usually over air safety concerns, he added.
