BJP MP Soumendu Adhikari, brother of West Bengal LoP Suvendu Adhikari, filed a complaint with Delhi Police against CM Mamata Banerjee for "spreading fake news" about an alleged assault on a Bengali woman and her child. "She posted false information to damage the police's image and create unrest," he said. Delhi Police termed the video "fabricated" and "politically motivated".
