TMC chief and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee criticised the central government for its decision to observe 'Samvidhaan Hatya Diwas', or Constitution Murder Day, on June 25, the day when the Emergency was declared in 1975. She said the BJP undermines the Constitution daily. Banerjee had last year said, "Emergency can be felt more than ever during PM Modi's tenure."
