After a law student was allegedly gang-raped at a Kolkata college, BJP's Amit Malviya shared the picture of one of the accused, Manojit Mishra with TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee. Malviya also shared Manojit's image with Kajari Banerjee, the sister-in-law of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee. "We'll not allow (CM) Mamata Banerjee’s regime to silence the voice of justice," Malviya stated.
