BJP leader K Annamalai shared a video claiming DMK Tiruvarur ward councillor Purushothaman and "his gang" thrashed a person after he objected to placement of a party banner in front of his house. The video showed several men beating a person as people watched. "From ministers to councillors, goondaism is DMK's political culture," Annamalai stated.
