A study led by Dr KK Sharma of Jaipur's Eternal Heart Care Centre and Research Institute found sleep apnoea, a dangerous form of snoring, may be improved by blowing shankh. People with moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnoea who practised it for six months slept better, felt more alert, had fewer breathing interruptions and showed higher overnight blood-oxygen levels, the study found.
