Tens of thousands of students linked to BNP (Bangladesh Nationalist Party) held a rally against Bangladesh interim government's head Muhammad Yunus in Dhaka on Wednesday demanding a general election in December 2025. "We want to see...a government...that is directly elected by people," Tarique Rahman, BNP's Interim Chairman said. Earlier, Yunus had set a June 2026 deadline for elections.
