Boeing is in the early stages of developing a new single-aisle aeroplane that would eventually replace its flagship narrow-body 737 MAX, WSJ reported. It may also partner with Rolls-Royce Holdings to build a new engine for the aircraft. For context, two crashes of the 737 MAX in 2018 and 2019 killed 346 people and led to its 20-month global grounding.
