The Bombay High Court has barred Maratha activist Manoj Jarange from holding a protest at Azad Maidan without prior permission. The court emphasised that protests in prime city areas need official clearance. However, it allowed the Maharashtra government to suggest alternate locations, such as Kharghar or Navi Mumbai, for him to carry out his protest.
