After the Jammu and Kashmir government banned 25 books promoting "terrorist heroism, false narratives, and secessionism", police raided bookshops in Srinagar, Kulgam, and other parts of the Valley to seize them. "During the searches, all bookshop owners were warned against stocking or distributing prohibited content," police said. The banned titles include Arundhati Roy’s 'Azadi', among others.
