A Borivali-based internet firm was duped of ₹1.13 crore by a man posing as a project facilitator for a government-approved Goa Smart Village Project. The accused, Dr Sajid N Sayyed of Bharat CSR Network, allegedly provided forged documents to gain trust and misappropriated funds after project completion. MHB police booked him for cheating and breach of trust.
