During the 1990s exodus, nearly 60,000 Kashmiri Pandit families fled violence, yet a few courageous families stayed. Protected by neighbors and bound by trust, the Zutshis, Kuls, and Khashus continued to live in the Valley, celebrating festivals together and helping each other.
