UK-based Sheffield's earth4Earth startup has created a range of bricks that capture and permanently store carbon dioxide. Made using excavated soil, which would otherwise go to landfill, the bricks use Direct Air Capture (DAC) to extract CO2 from air. These bricks are combined with a unique binder, manufactured with reduced CO2 emissions than traditional binders, which enhances their durability.
