India captain Shubman Gill called their first Test against England, which the latter won by five wickets, a "brilliant" match. "We had our chances, we dropped catches and our lower-order didn't contribute enough, but [I am] proud of the team and overall a good effort," he stated. Shubman added, "I think we’ve got a young team, still a learning one."
