A British news photographer was hit by a non-lethal bullet while documenting the clash between police and protesters in US' Los Angeles. Nick Stern underwent a surgery after a three-inch 'plastic bullet' tore into his thigh. Earlier, an Australian TV reporter Lauren Tomasi was shot with a rubber bullet by a police officer while covering the riots.
