BSE fell more than 4% as rumours circulated that SEBI may release a consultation paper to discontinue the weekly F&O contracts and change to monthly expiries. The decision can limit trading activity driven by retail that extended BSEs derivatives volumes, thereby causing fear of a short-term revenue effect.
