The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday clarified that the budget has never been a constraint for conducting the Census. A spokesperson said, “Allocation of funds is always ensured by the Government.” The Census, originally scheduled for 2020, was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now begin on March 1, 2027 and will be conducted in two phases.
