A five-storey building collapsed in Mathu Colony of Shimla's Bhattakufer area. There were no casualties as the building was evacuated a day before after cracks started appearing. According to preliminary assessments, cracks reportedly developed due to the ongoing four-lane road construction in the area, which likely weakened the foundation of the building. The authorities are assessing the damage.
