Burman family, which runs FMCG major Dabur India, said it has acquired the control of Religare Enterprises and has been designated as its promoter. "Our immediate priority is to instil stability, strengthen governance and drive sustainable growth at the company," it stated. This comes after a prolonged battle for ownership involving the Burmans and Religare's ousted chairperson Rashmi Saluja.
