Police have launched an investigation after burnt bodies of Kerala Forest Minister AK Saseendran's niece and her husband were found at their home in Chirakkal. Police said that they noticed injuries on Sreelekha's head and a hammer with blood stains was recovered from the house. However, police said no evidence of forcible entry into the house had been found.
