The CCEA, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved the ₹ 3,169 crore worth doubling of the Bhagalpur-Dumka-Rampurhat single railway line section project. The 177km stretch will cover states like Bihar, Jharkhand, & West Bengal. The capacity augmentation works will result in additional freight traffic of magnitude 15 million tonnes per annum.
