The Cabinet, led by PM Modi, has approved ₹24,634 crore worth of multitracking rail projects across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Chhattisgarh. Spanning 894 km, the projects will enhance capacity, reduce congestion, and serve over 85 lakh people. Part of PM Gati Shakti, the initiative supports freight growth, job creation, and India's green transport goals.
