Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, passed a resolution condemning the Indira Gandhi-led government's imposition of Emergency in 1975. The cabinet also held two minutes of silence in memory of those, who lost their lives during the Emergency. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw read out the resolution passed on 50 years of the Emergency.
