Some students of Calcutta University have alleged that they were thrashed and abused in Kolkata's Sealdah area on Wednesday night and were called Bangladeshi for speaking in Bengali. They claimed that the incident happened after a shopkeeper allegedly abused one of them when he went to buy mobile accessories from a shop. The police launched an investigation on students' complaint.
