China can actually save Assam if it attempts to reduce flow of river Brahmaputra, which originates in Tibet. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said in a social media post, "If China were to reduce water flow, it may actually help India mitigate annual floods in Assam." He said this in response to Pakistan’s scare narrative about China stopping Brahmaputra water.
