Despite legal progress under the amended MTP Act, access to safe abortion in India remains uneven due to stigma, legal confusion, and provider hesitation. The newly launched ARISE alliance aims to change this by advocating for stronger policies, awareness, and healthcare reforms to ensure truly stigma-free, safe abortion access nationwide.
