Responding to a PIL filed by a Rajasthan University student, the state government has told the High Court that it can't hold student union elections in the current academic year (2025-26). The student's advocate claimed that the government cited the Vice Chancellors' purported decision not to hold the elections and focus on implementing the National Education Policy (NEP).
