Marineland, the now-closed aquatic theme park in Ontario, Canada, has been facing backlash for threatening to euthanise its remaining 30 beluga whales unless Canadian government provides emergency funding. The park claimed to run out of money after Fisheries Minister Joanne Thompson rejected its plan to send them to an aquarium in Zhuhai, China, reported The New York Times.
