Canada will remove all tariffs on goods from the US that are covered by the Canada-US-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) by September 1, PM Mark Carney said. Canada will continue to keep 25% import taxes on US steel and aluminum and autos. Carney stated that US President Donald Trump assured him dropping the retaliatory tariffs will kick-start negotiations between the two countries.
