After US President Donald Trump hiked the one-time H-1B visa fee to $100,000 (around ₹88 lakh), Canadian PM Mark Carney attempted to woo H-1B visa holders. "Not as many H-1B holders will get visas in the US. These are skilled people.... [This is] an opportunity for Canada," Carney said. Indians are the biggest beneficiaries of the H-1B visa program.
