Castrol India said on Friday it received a favourable order from Customs Excise & Service Tax Appellate Tribunal in a ₹4,131-crore dispute with Maharashtra Sales Tax Department. The case pertained to a period of ten years. The department alleged firm's goods movement from the state facilities to logistics experts of other states constituted as inter-state sales based on pre-existing customers.
