CBDT has extended the due date for filing tax audit reports for AY26 from September 30 to October 31. This comes after the department received complaints highlighting difficulties in completing audit reports within the original timeline due to floods and natural calamities in certain regions. CBDT clarified that the Income Tax e-filing portal has been functioning smoothly without any glitches.
