The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) denied clearance of 'JSK - Janaki vs State of Kerala' due to objections over title. FEFKA's general secretary Unnikrishnan said, "It's said (by the board) that Goddess Sita's name cannot be given to character who suffered assault." Calling it "strange" he added, "Filmmakers are denied freedom to give [their] characters...names of their choice."
