Amid controversy, Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar wrote to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to take action against the film. While speaking of "alignment with Shiv devotees and society", Shelar stated that the CBFC has summoned the producers and director and has begun proceedings based on complaints that allege "misinformation and hurting sentiments".
