CBI, during their search operations in Amritsar and New Delhi, uncovered a virtual asset cybercrime network that targeted US nationals since 2023. The operation was executed in close coordination with US' FBI and three accused were arrested. During 2023-2025, the accused manipulated victims into transferring $40 million to cryptocurrency wallets. Raids led to the recovery of ₹54 lakh in cash.
