The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday registered a murder case against police personnel in Tamil Nadu's Sivaganga over the death of a temple guard, Ajit Kumar, in custody. The investigation into the matter was transferred to the agency by the state government. The case was filed under Section 103 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, a CBI spokesperson said.
