Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over probe into the 2019 killings of three BJP workers in West Bengal's Sandeshkhali. CBI also registered FIR against former TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh, who is prime accused in the case. The move come after Calcutta High Court on June 30 directed CBI to constitute SIT to handle the case with "utmost seriousness".
