CCI has ordered its Directorate General to investigate Asian Paints for abuse of dominant position in the market and violating antitrust laws, a report stated. This comes after Grasim Industries, which is a new entrant into the paint market through Birla Opus Paints, filed a complaint. The complainant alleges that Asian Paints threatened dealers in case they worked with Grasim.
