Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued an advisory to e-commerce platforms to take necessary steps to ensure that their platforms are free from dark patterns. These platforms have been advised to conduct self-audits to identify deceptive and unfair trade practices within three months. A Joint Working Group has been formed to monitor compliance and further action.
