US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Susan Monarez has been fired less than a month after being sworn in. White House spokesperson Kush Desai said Monarez was not "aligned with the President's agenda of Making America Healthy Again". Monarez, who refused to resign, is said to have opposed US Healthy Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr's vaccine policy.
