The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, chaired by PM Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved the construction of two infrastructure projects worth ₹6,014 crore in Bihar. These include a four-lane 'Sahebganj–Areraj–Bettiah' section of NH-139W (78.942 km), estimated at ₹3,822.31 crore. It also cleared the doubling of the 'Bakhtiyarpur–Rajgir–Tilaiya' railway line (104 km) at about ₹2,192 crore.
