Centre on Friday approved an additional instalment of ₹81,735 crore as tax devolution to state governments. The amount will be released on Monday, June 2, ahead of the regularly scheduled monthly instalment of the same amount due on June 10. The additional instalment will enable states to speed up their capital spending and finance their welfare-related expenditure, Finance Ministry said.
