The Central government on Tuesday approved a site within the "Rashtriya Smriti" complex (a part of the Rajghat precinct) to set up a memorial for former President Pranab Mukherjee. His daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee, took to X and thanked PM Narendra Modi for the gesture. Pranab Mukherjee served as India's President from 2012 to 2017.
